Useful.
Browser Shots is another good site for testing websites on different browsers and platforms. It came up with about fifty different screenshots on different browsers, and there were loads more I could have chosen, so it is very thorough (and free).
And that is all.

Re-jig part 2 & some paper chairs.
Gosh, what a lot of blogging – how unlike me. I ended up changing my website again, and I’m pretty sure this one is for keeps for a while now! It’s not too different to before looks-wise, but I wanted to make all projects in a category available to view in one page rather than have to select a project title at random from the sidebar and keep opening different pages. Much quicker and easier than before. Oh – I used a really good script called Enlargeit to enlarge the thumbnails, which does not open any new pages, but just overlays the image on the same page. It’s exactly what I was looking for, was very happy to find that free script!
Now then, here are a collection of paper chairs.

Japanese crochet.
Above is an amigurumi koala I made a while ago from Tiny Yarn Animals by Tamie Snow of Roxycraft. Last year sometime I got a little bit hooked on crochet after getting this book which is full of patterns for amigurumi crochet animals – I highly recommend it! Tamie has got some serious skills because her patterns are definitely some of the best I have seen by far, if not the best. Each little creature has such unique character and every single one is just so darn cute! Visit her Flickr photos to see a giant collection of cuteness.
I should probably say what amigurumi is quickly – it’s a Japanese term coming from ‘ami’ meaning crochet or knitted, and ”nuigurumi’ meaning stuffed doll (thanks Wikipedia!). Amigurumi projects are always crocheted ‘in the round’, meaning you use the single crochet stitch and just keep going round in spirals. I posted a list of crochet tutorials I found helpful while learning in this post.
Japanese crochet is insanely brilliant. I love the Kyuuto blog which is dedicated to reviewing Japanese crochet books. It is written in Finnish but Google will translate if you ask it nicely.
I haven’t actually crocheted in a while, I always seem to leave massive gaps in between projects, but get ridiculously obsessed when I do do it. The last book I acquired was Kyuuto! Japanese Crafts Lacy Crochet which I haven’t made anything from yet but have bought plenty of Torcal crochet thread ready to do so – from a very good shop worth mentioning called Yarnstick.

Free Encouragement postcard.
Something I never posted about was my postcard design which was chosen for the Design for Mankind / Booooooom! Free Encouragement project. The brief was to select one of many phrases based around, yes, free encouragement. The aim being simply to release some positivity into the atmosphere because well, why the heck not? These phrases were submitted by Design for Mankind and Booooooom! readers. Artists, illustrators and designers were then invited to submit their interpretation of any of these phrases. And here is mine… cut-out paper letters.

This postcard is available to buy as part of a pack at the Free Encouragement Etsy shop.

Re-jig.
I have had a bit of a re-jig of my website and blog, so it may have all looked a little haywire of late. I also added some new drawings of some lovely pine cones, and am working like a beaver to get more work up soon! I started to add work to my Flickr as well, so please feel free to add me as a contact on there. Oh – I’m also on Twitter, if that’s your sorta thing!
